Eagle
Rock Lofts
Project
Overview
Eagle Rock Lofts project is located on Colorado Boulevard in
the Eagle Rock Neighborhood of Northeastern Los Angeles. The
project offers two ground floor, street-oriented commercial
spaces (1935 sq. ft. total), and 10 residential condominium
units (approx. 1300 sq. ft. each). Hidden behind the commercial
units below the podium supporting the residential units, thirty
stalls of on-grade parking provide adequate spaces for both
residential and retail.
With
respect to community benefits, the Lofts’ design
engages the already lively thoroughfare found on Colorado Blvd.
Eagle Rock is currently without significant condominium properties,
let alone any new residential product along Colorado Blvd. The
design by AdamWheelerDesign, a Santa Monica-based firm, compliments
the existing Eagle Rock architecture while also incorporates
contemporary elements that promise to enhance Eagle Rock’s
status as a forward thinking community.
Colorado Blvd. is the main thoroughfare of Eagle Rock, intersecting
with both Highway 2 and the 134. The City of Los Angeles has
designated the Colorado corridor as the prime area for urban
growth in Eagle Rock by placing a Specific Plan on the area.
The plan emphasizes the creation of pedestrian-friendly retail,
office and mixed use residential spaces.
This project is currently in the design phase.
